The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

While revenue in some areas fell below the previous year due to there having been one more Sunday in June of the previous year, the reversal of demand for stockpiled rice in the previous year and consumers' stronger focus on saving, revenue benefited from stronger price appeal for fresh produce, stronger pricing for prepared seafood products and increased efforts involving value-added products. On the profit side, the increase in procurement costs resulting from higher prices for goods and materials, labor costs and new-store opening expenses, as well as lower sales of seasonal products following the extremely hot weather and lower rice market prices, had an impact.
