Newly concluded sales contracts for imported chicken and increased sales of high-value-added and high-margin processed foods from Thailand contributed to higher revenue and profit in the Food Products Division. Meanwhile, sales and handling volumes declined for agricultural products, China-related transactions and imported pork. Higher raw material prices and transportation costs, foreign exchange rates, the Chinese economy, the situation in the Middle East, the suspension of imports of pork from Spain and delays in vessel loading from Brazil also had an impact.
