The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the core industrial waste treatment business, the company actively secured waste liquids used as feedstock for recycled fuel. In the soil contamination treatment-related business, large-scale and high-value-added projects progressed smoothly, resulting in higher operating profit. These gains were partly offset by increases in raw material, labor and other costs, fewer projects in the Kansai area, and the postponement of projects in the large tank cleaning business.
