The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Operating income increased due to the bottle price revision in the CLICLA business, growth in the number of putio customers, price revisions and optimization of promotional initiatives in the rental business, and the containment of selling, general and administrative expenses. Net income fell into the red because special gains recorded in the same period of the previous year, including compensation received and gains on sales of investment securities, were no longer recorded, while the Company recognized an impairment loss of ¥138 million and an additional provision for store closure losses of ¥39 million during the current period.
