Reason for the revision

The results of the 3 companies will be reflected in the consolidated earnings forecasts following the acquisition of their shares, and a ¥4,720 million gain on bargain purchase will be recognized as extraordinary income. For the second quarter, operating income and ordinary income are expected to fall below the initial forecasts because of seasonal factors affecting the fertilizer business, while interim net income is expected to exceed the forecast due to the gain on bargain purchase.
