Items this document does not state (16)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The theatrical exhibition and architectural interiors businesses performed strongly, while the events business also remained firm. Meanwhile, the visual content business recorded lower revenue due to a reactionary decline in domestic distribution-rights and licensing-rights sales in the content business. Operating income increased as higher income from the theatrical exhibition and architectural interiors businesses more than offset the increase in selling, general and administrative expenses. Ordinary income increased due to higher equity in earnings of affiliates accounted for using the equity method, while net income increased due to the recognition of gains on the sale of real estate as extraordinary income.
