The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Although demand for hot water supply and air conditioning declined due to temperatures at the beginning of the period and during the summer, higher equipment operating rates among commercial customers lifted gas sales volumes above the previous year. Gas rate unit prices were reduced through raw material cost adjustments, while raw material costs and other expenses increased due to higher gas sales volumes. The full-year forecast was revised based on gas sales volumes tracking above plan and a review of various expenses.
