The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The forecast has been revised based on recent trends. While retail electricity sales and electricity sales to other companies have generally tracked expectations, net sales and ordinary income are expected to increase due to higher fuel cost adjustment amounts and electricity sales revenue to other companies resulting from rising fuel prices and other factors, as well as a review of wheeling charges to reflect higher prices and interest rates at Hokkaido Electric Power Network. Net income attributable to owners of the parent is expected to increase due in part to the rise in ordinary income.
