Regarding the Financial Results for Fiscal 2025

In FY2025, revenue declined due mainly to lower fuel prices, while ordinary income and net income also fell below the previous year. In FY2026, revenue is expected to increase, but profit is forecast to decline due to the reversal of the fuel cost adjustment system and higher costs.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In FY2025, fuel cost adjustment income declined in line with lower fuel prices and other factors, while higher hydroelectric power generation reduced fuel costs. These benefits were offset by efforts toward the restart of the Tomari Power Station and increases in labor costs, prices and interest rates, which reduced ordinary income. Net income declined due to the decrease in ordinary income and lower gains on the sale of nuclear fuel recorded under extraordinary income. In FY2026, the company expects higher fuel prices and wholesale electricity market prices, an adverse impact from the timing difference under the fuel cost adjustment system, and higher labor costs, prices and interest rates.
