- FY2017-Q3DroppedAnnual report
「For commercial publications, a large volume of returns of older editions, which had been limited in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year, was recorded in the first quarter of the current fiscal year due to changes in the publication schedules for revised maps and magazines at the end of the previous consolidated fiscal year. Sales were also affected by sluggish sell-through during the summer peak season and the absence of full revisions of major series. Commercial publication sales therefore fell sharply by ¥1,099 million from the third quarter of the previous fiscal year to ¥4,225 million.」
The poor weekend weather mentioned in the previous quarter was not identified as a factor in commercial-publication sales for the current quarter; other factors, such as sluggish summer sell-through, were cited instead. - FY2017-Q2First statedAnnual report
「Sales failed to grow, partly because poor weather occurred frequently on weekends during the second quarter. In addition, the absence of major full revisions to large series and of new publications also affected sales. Revenue from commercial publications fell sharply by ¥945 million from the six-month period of the previous second quarter to ¥2.837 billion.」
