The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In the Media and Content segment, TBS Television’s spot advertising revenue declined amid weak advertising market conditions. In the Lifestyle segment, lower profit was attributable to higher fixed costs at PLAZA, weak sales of BCL’s “Saborino” brand, and higher personnel and depreciation expenses associated with the shift of the Yaruki Switch Group to directly operated businesses. Meanwhile, delivery of major productions by THE SEVEN, new store openings, new businesses, tuition revenue and the real estate business contributed to higher revenue.
