「As a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, we respect this principle and have decided to change the trading unit for our shares from the current 1,000 shares to 100 shares. At the same time, we will bring the investment unit for our shares in line with the level considered desirable by the stock exchange, between ¥50,000 and less than ¥500,000, and will consolidate 2 shares into 1 share, taking into consideration the expansion of investment opportunities for individual investors and medium- to long-term share-price fluctuations.」
The plan calls for a share consolidation effective 1 October 2017 and a change in the trading unit from 1,000 shares to 100 shares. The consolidation ratio will be 2 shares to 1 share, and the total number of authorized shares will also change from 499.55 million shares to 250 million shares.
