Items this document does not state (12)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the ocean shipping business, revenue increased through spot projects involving construction machinery for the Middle East, logistics proposals and orders for ODA projects. In the port operations and warehousing businesses, customs clearance volumes, price revisions, new cargo and container handling volumes increased. The domestic shipping business was sluggish because of weak demand for steel products and rising costs, including fuel costs, but overall revenue and profits increased. The upward revision to the full-year forecasts reflects higher revenue from spot projects in the ocean shipping business, the flow-through effect of higher revenue, dividend income and the recording of handling fees not included in the initial plan.
