In the transport division, cargo movements slowed in some areas due to the situation in the Middle East. At the same time, cargo handled for storage increased as a result of revised handling charges, loading and unloading work for spot cargo, and the acquisition of Nihonkai Warehouse as a subsidiary, although labor costs increased. The hotel business division performed well due to the effects of room renovations, events held within the prefecture, and increased accommodation demand. Profit attributable to owners of the parent increased, partly due to the recognition of a ¥287,456 thousand gain on negative goodwill.
