Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Revenue from the logistics business declined while revenue from the real estate business increased, resulting in lower operating revenue. Operating income increased as the gross operating profit margin rose due to lower operating costs, while ordinary income increased mainly because of lower miscellaneous expenses. Net income attributable to owners of the parent increased significantly due to higher gains on sales of investment securities. In the logistics business, factors behind the decline in revenue included lower revenue from international cargo handling fees and the absence in the current period of revenue from sales of active pharmaceutical ingredients that had been recorded temporarily in the same period of the previous year.
