The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In domestic logistics, handling volumes in port transportation recovered, while warehouse receipts and storage volumes and transportation operations remained solid. The transportation company acquired through M&A also contributed. In international logistics, the recovery in the performance of overseas subsidiaries and the Vietnamese subsidiary acquired through M&A contributed. Operating profit increased due to growth in the domestic logistics segment and higher rental revenue from other businesses, despite higher cargo-handling expenses, amortization of goodwill and a decline in the international logistics business. Ordinary profit declined due to higher M&A-related acquisition costs, foreign exchange losses and interest payments.
