The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the domestic BOOKOFF business, gross profit increased as same-store sales grew. In the Premium Services business, procurement value and gross profit increased against a backdrop that included precious metal prices remaining at high levels. In the overseas business, new store openings and stores opened in prior fiscal years contributed to higher revenue, while profit declined due to upfront investment associated with store openings and delays in opening stores.
