The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue for the fiscal year ended March 2026 exceeded the plan despite the number of vehicles handled in each region being slightly below target, owing to higher unit prices and the positive effect of yen depreciation versus the plan. Operating profit was affected by the number of vehicles handled in each region and Autopact's gross margin falling short of plan, as well as hail damage and supply constraints from Australian automakers. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, improved market conditions in New Zealand, expanded used-car exports to Europe and other regions, and expanded inspections are expected to drive profit growth, while the Australian business is forecast conservatively.
