Target Locations / Products

Public solutions business, regional information distribution business, hometown tax donation business, “まいぷれ”

This disclosure10/15/2026
Cause

The substantial value of shares without a quoted market price declined as the business diverged from the business plan prepared at the time of acquisition. Following a review of future cash flows for the public solutions business in light of the demerger of the hometown tax donation business, future cash flows from the related fixed assets fell below their carrying amounts. Differences from the earnings forecast were due to lower-than-planned sales in existing partner regions and acquisition of contracts from new operating partners, a decline in donation amounts following the reversal of front-loaded demand associated with revisions to the hometown tax donation system, termination of contracts with some contracted municipalities, and the delay in receiving subsidies.

Amount of Impact on Business Performance

A ¥50 million loss on valuation of investment securities and a ¥73 million impairment loss on fixed assets were recognized as extraordinary losses. Total extraordinary losses were ¥123 million. Consolidated results were revenue of ¥1,512 million, operating loss of ¥82 million, ordinary loss of ¥87 million and net loss attributable to owners of the parent of ¥255 million.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

For shares without a quoted market price, the substantial value declined as the business diverged from the business plan prepared at the time of acquisition. In addition, following the company’s absorption-type demerger of the hometown tax donation business, it revised the future cash-flow projections for the public solutions business, reducing the recoverability of fixed assets. The differences from the earnings forecast were attributed to lower-than-planned sales in existing partner regions and acquisition of contracts from new operating partners, a decline in donation amounts following the reversal of front-loaded demand after revisions to the hometown tax donation system, termination of contracts with contracted municipalities, and the delay in receiving the Human Resources Development Support Subsidy.
