The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Profit was boosted by productivity improvements in the Senior Life Support business, improved proficiency and training for coordinators hired in the previous fiscal year, and the accumulation of projects in the Senior Home Consulting business. The disappearance of nonrecurring expenses incurred in the first quarter, including recruitment costs and the costs of opening 5 locations, also contributed as operating expenses returned to normal levels.
