The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The aim is to combine JAL's brand strength, customer base including approximately 41 million JAL Mileage Bank members, and assets such as miles with LIFENET INSURANCE COMPANY's presence as an online life insurer, expertise in partner alliances, and UI/UX capabilities, thereby expanding both companies' businesses and delivering new value in life insurance. In addition, the companies determined that establishing a capital relationship between them would be the most effective way to build the close, medium- to long-term relationship necessary to advance their collaboration.
