Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Operating revenue increased as the Company deepened relationships with existing customers and expanded its logistics facilities against a backdrop of stable e-commerce demand and companies' needs to improve logistics efficiency. However, profit was adversely affected by the profit margin at the Tokai SCM Center not yet recovering to its pre-relocation level, the driver shortage, rising labor costs and higher logistics costs resulting from renewed increases in fuel costs.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

The business expanded against a backdrop of stable e-commerce demand and companies' needs to improve logistics efficiency, and new facilities were opened. However, in addition to the profit margin at the Tokai SCM Center not yet recovering to its pre-relocation level, higher logistics costs caused by the driver shortage, rising labor costs and renewed increases in fuel costs put downward pressure on profit margins.
