The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The increase in profit was driven by higher parcel volumes from capturing cross-border e-commerce demand, the collection of appropriate rates and improved productivity in the logistics business, and the consolidation of Morrison. Meanwhile, in the global logistics business, Ecu Worldwide's performance deteriorated as air and ocean freight rates declined due to factors including U.S. trade policies.
