Reason for the revision

The revision reflects strong market conditions for chemical tankers and dry bulk carriers, expectations that market conditions for dry bulk carriers will remain firm from the second quarter onward, favorable renewals of contracts for certain vessels, and the trend toward a weaker yen since the beginning of the fiscal year. In addition, tax expenses related to an overseas consolidated subsidiary that recorded a gain on the sale of fixed assets are expected to be recognized in the fourth quarter.
