Realizing More Than Shipping 2018 Stage 2

「Based on its belief that the Group should take on new challenges rather than limit itself to the role of transporting goods through shipping and logistics, the Group redefined the basic principles comprising its corporate philosophy as “Bringing value to life.” Based on this corporate philosophy, it formulated the new medium-term management plan “Staying Ahead 2022 with Digitalization and Green” in March 2018.」

「Due to dramatic changes in the surrounding environment, the Company withdrew the profit and financial targets for the final year of its five-year medium-term management plan, “More Than Shipping 2018～Stage 2 Kirari Technical Capabilities～,” which began in fiscal 2014. However, the basic strategies set out in the current medium-term management plan, including building up businesses with stable freight rates and promoting an asset-light model in businesses exposed to market fluctuations, remain valid, and the Company will continue to pursue these strategies in addressing the following key issues. A new medium-term management plan will be formulated during the current fiscal year.」
