The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, revenue increased due to fare revisions for regular-route buses, increased services on medium-distance and express bus routes, and the capture of demand related to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and GLION ARENA KOBE. In addition to the effects of higher revenue, operating profit benefited from changes in the depreciation method and useful lives of vehicles and lower diesel fuel prices. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, revenue is expected to increase through real estate development projects and new tours, despite a decline in Expo-related demand, while profit is expected to decline due to higher costs associated with base-pay increases, securing personnel, vehicle renewals and the rebuilding of an automobile maintenance plant.
