The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

For the nine-month period, revenue declined mainly because the number of vehicles transported decreased amid the sluggish new-vehicle sales market, vessels were held up and shipping capacity was restricted due to congestion at Malaysian ports in the overseas-related business, and customers in China requested lower selling prices. On the profit side, improved earnings from more effective use of transport equipment, price revisions and operational efficiency gains were offset by lower contracted volumes, changes to the salary structure, system investments, and higher vehicle and maintenance costs.
