The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Capital gains from the sale of domestic office buildings and condominiums, as well as the sale of prime office buildings overseas, including “Warwick Court” in London and “180 George Street” in Sydney, boosted profit. Rent increases and other factors in the Marunouchi business also contributed to higher earnings, while gains of approximately ¥30 billion from the sale of cross-held shares were recorded as extraordinary income.
