The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

On a consolidated basis, operating revenue increased and the operating loss narrowed due to strong performance by consolidated subsidiary STAYGOLD. In addition, investment gains under the equity method increased due to strong performance by equity-method affiliates Khan Bank and Solid Bank, while foreign exchange gains also increased as a result of the weaker yen. On a non-consolidated basis, the reasons were increased dividends received from affiliated companies and increased foreign exchange gains resulting from the weaker yen. The dividend was determined after comprehensively considering geopolitical risks, a slowdown in the Chinese economy, restrictions on receiving dividends from Khan Bank, and the need to strengthen the financial position in preparation for future business development.
