The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

The Company determined that it needed to further enhance shareholder returns after comprehensively considering capital efficiency and the allocation of funds to growth investments, while at least ¥8.5 billion remains available under its share repurchase authorization. In addition, as the platform business moves into an acceleration phase, the Company expects circumstances in which it will be difficult to acquire treasury shares flexibly for information management reasons. Accordingly, it will change from share repurchases to special dividends, aiming to pursue its growth strategy while strengthening shareholder returns.
