The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The increase in net sales for the fiscal year ended March 2026 was attributable to growth in all 6 business segments, while the increase in operating income was attributable to growth in 5 business segments, excluding the housing equipment business. The increase in ordinary income was mainly attributable to higher operating income and equity in earnings of affiliates. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was mainly affected by these factors, as well as the recording of gains on sales of investment securities associated with the streamlining of cross-held shares. The forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 incorporates factors including the situation in the Middle East, higher raw material prices and logistics costs, lower customer operating rates, and the negative impact of the previous fiscal year's delivery of NEXTGIGA school project orders.
