Reforming Profit Allocation Between Franchisees and Headquarters Under MINISTOP Partnership Agreements

「In September, Ministop Co., Ltd. announced a fundamental revision of its existing franchise agreement with franchisees and headquarters, with operation of the new Ministop Partnership Agreement beginning in September 2021. Based on the view that true partnership means sharing the business profits earned by working and making efforts together with franchisees, the company will transform the expense-bearing and profit-allocation structures, changing from the conventional franchise agreement, under which franchisees bear store operating expenses such as disposal and labor costs, to an agreement under which business profits are allocated between franchisees and headquarters.」
