The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Health & Wellness, Developer & Entertainment, and ASEAN operations drove performance. In Health & Wellness, the consolidation of Tsuruha HD and integration synergies contributed; in Developer & Entertainment, experiential and time-spending content and non-film content contributed; and in ASEAN, growth in Vietnam and other markets contributed. In Food Retail, the fading of the rice-related windfall demand resulting from government stockpiled rice, rising costs, consumers' stronger preference for saving, and issues with pricing and promotional measures were factors behind the decline in profit.
