The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The increase in profit was driven by the Group's comprehensive capabilities, business structure reforms, expanded sales of TOPVALU products, store DX and operational efficiency initiatives, and growth in the developer, health and wellness, services and specialty stores businesses. In addition, the increase in one-time costs associated with the business structure reforms was offset by a gain on step acquisitions arising from the consolidation of Tsuruha Holdings.
