Reason for the revision

In the core department store business, sales in the general merchandise categories, including luxury imported watches and cosmetics, as well as food and specialty product events such as the “Big Hokkaido Exhibition,” remained firm. However, net sales fell below the previous forecast due to lower inbound-related sales and the impact of the major cold wave in January, among other factors. In addition to the decline in gross profit, the recognition of an impairment loss or a provision for loss on business of an affiliated company related to Kanazawa New Grand Hotel caused actual results to fall substantially below the forecasts.

Details and amount of extraordinary loss

Consolidated: ¥1,967 million impairment loss on fixed assets. Non-consolidated: ¥1,628 million provision for loss on business of an affiliated company.
