The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Sales of rice, daily necessities and private-label products, which met consumers’ cost-saving preferences amid rising prices, were strong, driving growth in same-store sales. In addition, the increase in gross profit offset higher expenses, including rising personnel costs and depreciation associated with new stores and renovations.
