The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

For the fiscal year ended March 2026, strong performance in the Electronic Components, Information Equipment and Other businesses, the contribution from 協栄産業, which became a consolidated subsidiary in July 2025, and approximately ¥41.1 billion in semiconductor spot sales in Q4 contributed to the increase in revenue. Operating income increased as the rise in gross profit from higher revenue exceeded the increase in selling, general and administrative expenses. Net income was boosted by extraordinary gains, including an approximately ¥7.7 billion gain on the recognition of negative goodwill and an approximately ¥1.6 billion gain on the sale of investment securities. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, revenue and net income are expected to decline as these one-off factors fall away.
