In addition to scenario analysis and management of climate-related risks and opportunities, the Company disclosed actual Scope 1 and 2 emissions and part of Scope 3 emissions for the fiscal year ended March 2026. The disclosure framework for measuring progress toward Scope 1 and 2 reduction targets has become more concrete. - FY2024First statedAnnual report
「The Group has identified climate-related risks and opportunities based on two possible worlds: a 1.5°C scenario, which assumes efforts to limit the increase in the global average temperature to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, or, where no 1.5°C scenario is available, an alternative scenario such as one below 2°C; and a 4°C scenario, which assumes greenhouse gas emissions continue at their current pace.」
The Company treated climate change as a standalone key issue and identified and assessed transition risks, physical risks and business opportunities using 1.5°C/below-2°C and 4°C scenarios. It also classified the timing of their realisation as short, medium or long term and presented a management structure under which the Sustainability Expert Committee reports to the Board of Directors.
