The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the domestic interior business, sales volume and revenue increased due to front-loaded demand ahead of product price revisions, the resolution of supply constraints caused by a fire at a supplier's factory, and the completion of large-scale projects. Overseas, growth in North America, improvement in Southeast Asia, narrower losses in China and Hong Kong, and the absence of one-off costs related to large-scale projects in the previous fiscal year contributed to results. The increase in net income attributable to owners of the parent was also affected by ¥439 million in subsidy income and a ¥415 million gain on termination of a retirement benefit plan.
