Reason for the revision

The company overreacted in preparing for summer merchandise based on expectations of extremely hot weather and a prolonged hot spell, which also affected autumn merchandise. In particular, weak sales during the October selling season affected sales and profit. Although the company sought to recover from November onward, the cumulative second-quarter results are expected to fall below plan. For the full year, while uncertainties remain, including unpredictable weather, yen depreciation associated with geopolitical risks, and the impact of higher prices on personal consumption, the forecasts were left unchanged based on the strong initial sales of spring merchandise and the company’s focus on issues under its medium-term vision.
