Reason for the revision

In addition to unsettled weather and slower inbound demand, a delayed start to demand for autumn merchandise at stores and delivery delays for certain products caused first-half results to fall below the initial plan. The first-half shortfall was therefore deducted from the full-year forecast, while the initial second-half plan was left unchanged.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Non-consolidated ordinary income and interim net income for the six-month period exceeded forecasts, primarily due to dividends received from YOUNGONE OUTDOOR Corporation, an equity-method affiliate in South Korea. Full-year forecasts were reduced by the first-half shortfall because first-half results fell below plan due to unsettled weather, slower inbound demand, a delayed start to demand for autumn merchandise and delivery delays for certain products.
