The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The main reasons for the interim period were that net sales and profit in the overseas group businesses exceeded expectations, driven by expanding demand for high-performance materials and semiconductor components for AI servers, sales to the commercial vehicle industry remained firm, and nonferrous metal prices rose sharply. For the full year, the forecast also reflects expectations of continued demand growth, higher steel prices in the second half, and demand for construction projects to improve working environments in connection with heat-stress countermeasures. The dividend forecast was increased in consideration of the upward revision to the earnings forecasts and the strengthening of shareholder returns.
