  3. FY2021-Q2Review of work arrangementsAnnual report

「In light of the recent COVID-19 situation, from 1 October 2020 we continued shortened working hours from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but discontinued working from home and shift-based work and returned to the previous arrangement of working at the office.」

From 1 October 2020, shortened working hours from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. continued, while the company discontinued working from home and shift-based work and moved to office-based work.
  4. FY2021-Q1First statedAnnual report

「In response to the outbreak of COVID-19, and to prevent the spread of infection and maintain systems for business continuity, we required all officers and employees of the corporate group to work primarily from home in accordance with instructions from national and local governments. In the sales divisions, shift-based work was required in addition to sales activities centered on teleworking, while in the administrative divisions, shift-based work was required so that the functions of major business locations could be maintained with only the minimum necessary employees. Following the lifting of the state of emergency declared by local governments, from 1 July 2020 we changed from work arrangements primarily based on working from home and shift-based work, which avoided attendance at offices, to regular work arrangements involving attendance at offices with working hours shortened to 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, in response to the renewed spread of COVID-19, from 1 August 2020 and for the time being, we have required each division to implement shift-based work so that officers and employees attend the office approximately half of the week during the 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. working period.」

The company introduced and changed work arrangements combining working from home, teleworking, shift-based work, shortened working hours and restrictions on office attendance to approximately half the week in order to prevent the spread of infection and maintain business continuity.
