The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the seafood receiving business and the off-market seafood wholesaling business, the company struggled to set and pass through appropriate selling prices in response to higher expenses, including materials, logistics and labor costs, as well as narrowing margins. In contrast, although the selling price per kilogram of farmed yellowtail declined, it remained at a high level, and the aquaculture business reported higher profit than in the year-earlier quarter.
