The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. Results for the fiscal year ended February 2026 fell significantly short of the original plan, and the gap between the assumptions underlying the plan and current conditions widened considerably due to insufficient strengthening of product appeal and sales capabilities, changes in the sales cycle resulting from longer summers, a review of the product strategy's bias toward heavy apparel, stronger consumer concerns about protecting household finances amid geopolitical risks and rising prices, and concerns about deterioration in the upper-middle and premium goods markets.
