The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Full-year sales are expected to fall below the previous forecast because the impact of higher raw material costs and price pass-through was more limited than expected. Operating profit has been revised upward, however, as revenue is expected to increase in the electronic components and other businesses, driven mainly by expansion of the semiconductor market for AI applications, together with measures to improve profitability, including higher production efficiency and price pass-through.
