In the cumulative consolidated first-quarter period, sales to overseas distributors in the Japan segment exceeded expectations, while selling, general and administrative expenses were kept below plan in light of the uncertainty surrounding the situation in the Middle East. As a result, revenue and profit at each stage progressed above the previous forecasts. From the second quarter onward, the overall sports market is expected to remain firm. After carefully assessing demand trends by region and external conditions, including foreign exchange rates, some assumed exchange rates have been revised toward a weaker yen.
