NANKAI PLYWOOD CO.,LTD., consolidated subsidiary NP ROLPIN SAS, and ROLKEM SAS, a wholly owned subsidiary of NP ROLPIN SAS
Loans to NP ROLPIN SAS; loans to ROLKEM SAS
For NP ROLPIN SAS, the recovery of the European economy slowed, and production and sales continued to fall significantly below plan. For ROLKEM SAS, achieving its profit plan remained difficult due to soaring raw material prices and other factors, while the unrealized gains on its fixed assets increased as a result of an asset revaluation.
An additional ¥279 million provision for doubtful accounts and a ¥1 million reversal of the allowance for doubtful accounts will be recognized, both in the non-consolidated financial statements. The amounts will be eliminated in the consolidated financial statements and will have no impact on consolidated results.
