「We applied the Accounting Standard for Revenue Recognition (Accounting Standard No. 29, 31 March 2020) and related standards from the beginning of the first quarter. Revenue is now recognized at the point when control of promised goods or services transfers to the customer, at the amount expected to be received in exchange. Accordingly, from the first quarter, performance obligations satisfied over time are recognized over the relevant period based on estimated progress, except for very short-term construction projects, while performance obligations satisfied at a point in time and very short-term construction projects are recognized when the obligations are fully satisfied.」

The revenue recognition standard was applied from the beginning of the fiscal year, changing the method for recognizing construction revenue to one based on the timing of performance-obligation satisfaction and progress. As a result, quarterly net sales and operating profit each decreased by ¥3.423 million, and lease receivables and other current liabilities each decreased by ¥796.340 million.
