Items this document does not state (13)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Demand adjustments continued in the semiconductor-related business, resulting in lower profit as the decline in revenue prevented the absorption of fixed costs. Meanwhile, the strong performance of the measurement and metrology equipment business and the medical and healthcare equipment business, refunds of US tariffs, and foreign exchange effects caused results for the six months ended the second quarter to exceed the initial forecast, so the full-year forecast was revised upward.
